Individual coaching is essential during roll-out projects

Including local top management and consideration of local characteristic features are essentials for a successful roll-out of supply chain processes. But to avoid a long way through a value of tears, an individual training and coaching program for key players in the process is a prerequisite for immediate success.

For sure, you are familiar with following situation: New processes and systems with high integration go live! But instead of generating immediate success and improvements, customers struggle through a vale of tears. Plans generated by systems are automatically transformed into production and purchasing orders. In most cases these plans are not congruent with reality, they cause a high rate of changes, and a mass of additional workload. Customer orders confirmed with date and quantity need to be changed (re-confirmed). The backlogs expand and customer service level goes down. How to manage this situation?

Including local top management and consideration of distinctive local characteristics are a solid basis for the acceptance of new roles and processes. But the most important issue is an individually adapted training program for all involved functions, and especially an early enough selection of key-users and their individual coaching in processes and systems (from high level down to keying-in, including tips and tricks).
